One day, a wise old cloud named Cumulus saw Nimbus sitting alone, his little face drooping. "Why the long face, little one?" he asked. Nimbus explained his sadness with Cumulus, and the wise old cloud smiled gently. "There's more than one way to contribute, Nimbus," he said. "You may not be able to cry, but you can make beautiful shapes in the sky."

Nimbus thought about this for a moment. He realized that Cumulus was right. He didn't have to cry to be useful. From that day on, Nimbus tried his best to cheer everyone up. He would shift and change shape in the sky, making people smile below. And though he never learned to cry, Nimbus found his own special way to be part of the world.
